There are a lot of clichés about how travelling can ‘change your life and perceptions’, and why everyone should travel. Though this thought has gained currency in the modern times not many women dare make a long distance journey, that too all by themselves. After all travelling in the company of perfect strangers in unfamiliar territories is not for the faint-hearted. But, calling this a travel blog would an injustice. It’s more about living life to the fullest. If you have crossed 30s, and find yourself stuck in life, then the ‘Unconventional Girl’ would be a good read. It convincingly tells that nothing is unattainable. This is the kind of inspirational writing that encourages a reader to make their own ‘to do list’, and work on it. Travel enthusiasts might find these writings disappointing. It does provide finer details like historical, geographical, cultural or political significance of the places the writer visited. However, in an easy-to-read style the writer passionately portrays those people she came across; narrates the thoughts and feelings she had during these journeys. One will not miss the colours, flavours and fragrances of those foreign lands.
